The Mission

Although brain cancer is relatively rare, accounting for less than 1% of all new cancer diagnoses in the US, the cost for families to receive treatment can be very costly. Roughly 25,000 to 27,000 new cases of malignant brain tumors are diagnosed annually, over 90,000 total primary brain tumors occur. The cost of treatment can be $100,000 to over $500,000 dollars including surgery, chemo and radiation therapy. This does not include all the costs such as travel, food and lodging costs, or unpaid time off of work. Mind Over Miles is the first 24 hour, 300-mile ultra cycling challenge in Suffolk County, Long Island. We ride to bridge the gap between awareness and action, raising vital funds for patient support and brain cancer research. Every mile and pedal stroke represents a story of resilience, and hope for those diagnosed with brain cancer in the community.

300 Miles of Purpose and Hope

A 24-hour test of endurance that pushes riders physically and spiritually. Spanning three distinct 100-mile connecting legs across Suffolk County, this challenge is a journey of mental fortitude and community strength, where every pedal stroke brings financial support to those with brain cancer.

The Impact of Your Journey

Every mile pedaled and dollar raised creates a tangible ripple of hope and support across the brain cancer community.

Research Funding

As  funds are raised, a portion may be used to support local research initiatives, and clinical trials for brain cancer treatment. At this time there has not been a particular institution identified that we will be supporting.

Community Outreach

Our primary goals  is to raise funds to help support local families in the East Islip area  to help bridge the financial gap that families experience after a loved one is diagnosed with brain cancer.
